By the time you read this newsletter, I will probably either be cooking like a madwoman or sitting down with my family to our Thanksgiving feast. I don’t know about you, but at this time of year, I can always use a little escape from the holiday hustle and bustle. That’s why this week, I’m taking you on a visual journey back in time through three mesmerizing French paintings: Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec’s At the Moulin Rouge (1892-95), Jean Béraud’s charming portrayal of La Patisserie Gloppe (1889) and Berthe Morisot’s The Cradle (1872). To complement these artworks and celebrate the spirit of the season, I’ll be sharing my vegan eggnog recipe. And because no celebration is complete without something sweet, I’ll also throw in a mouthwatering holiday pumpkin-pecan bread: a moist, spiced loaf that embodies the warmth and flavors of the season and is guaranteed to fill your house with the most delicious aromas — it’s plant-based and oil-free, too!
This Thanksgiving, I’m thrilled to be celebrating my second plant-based holiday feast, and I invite you to join me on this culinary adventure. Follow along on Instagram to see what delightful plant-powered creations grace my table! Happy Thanksgiving!
