Noughty, a leading non-alcoholic wine brand, has taken the world of buzz-free beverages by storm with its commitment to crafting sophisticated options. The brainchild of Amanda Thomson, who trained in wine at Le Cordon Bleu, Noughty is redefining the landscape of alcohol-free indulgence.
At the heart of Noughty’s success is Amanda’s unwavering dedication to authenticity. A seasoned wine drinker herself, she did not want to settle for mere imitations of traditional wine and set out to create the leading premium non-alcoholic wine brand. With her wines being sold across approximately fifty countries (the US is the brand’s main market), you can say she’s definitely succeeding. There’s a lot for me to love about this brand. Not only is it B Corp certified and led by a woman entrepreneur (who was raised plant-based!), but the wines are vegan, halal, low in calories and residual sugars, and made with 100% organic grapes.
Noughty’s portfolio includes three dealcoholized still wines (a red, white and rosé) made with grapes sourced in South Africa and two non-alcoholic sparkling wines (a Chardonnay and a rosé) crafted with grapes from southern Spain.
Beyond its commitment to taste, Noughty embraces modernity in its presentation with sleek and contemporary bottles that mirrors the brand's innovative approach. As the market for non-alcoholic beverages continues to flourish, Noughty is committed to appealing to consumers who appreciate the artistry and craftsmanship of a well-made alcohol-free wine.
Wine tried:
Noughty Blanc: A dealcoholized blend of 55% Chenin Blanc and 45% Chardonnay.
Pairing: First glass with our Friday apéro (crackers with tomato tapenade). The rest with dinner (vegan ‘salmon’ en croute).
I also have a bottle of the rosé and sparkling rosé to try.
Notes:
In the coming weeks, I’ll be trying more non-alcoholic beverages and introducing them here (without reviews). In my food and drinks column in the May issue of Reader’s Digest, I’ll include my top selections. Reviews will appear thereafter.
All beverages tasted will be featured on my Instagram Story ‘Sans Alcool’.
