Back in the 90s, the cabbage soup diet was all the rage, and everyone was singing the praises about its success. I also jumped on the bandwagon and remember making a big pot of that horrid soup in the hopes of losing a few kilos. Well, as with all fad diets, it didn’t work. By day two, just the thought of eating another bowl of soup was giving me the chills (that, or maybe I was just terribly hungry).
In France, cabbage soup (or soupe au chou) takes on a whole new meaning. Not only is the name considerably more chic, but it sure as heck isn’t considered diet food!
