I recently had the incredible opportunity to explore the hidden gem of the Colli Berici region in Italy’s Vicenza province, alongside five fellow wine journalists. Our journey, organized by Studio Cru, spanned four days and immersed us in the region’s rich viticultural heritage.

The Colli Berici may be lesser-known, but its wines—particularly the flagship grape, Tai Rosso—are exceptional. With soils ranging from red clays to volcanic basalt, and a climate far drier than much of Veneto, the wines are infused with a sense of place that’s hard to match.

With these posts (part one and part two) I’ve only scratched the surface of my experience. To highlight the essence of the trip, here’s a video that brings the beauty and spirit of Colli Berici to life. I hope it inspires you to explore this extraordinary region further.

With thanks to Studio Cru & Consorzio Colli Berici e Vicenza.
